2009 Husaberg FE450e: You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby
Some called her “exotic,” some called her “weird,” but the August ’09 issue of Cycle World calls the Husaberg FE450e ““Best Enduro Bike 2009.” This title rides upon Dirt Rider’s identical claim in May of ’09.
We here at the Race Shop are big believers in the 450. Husaberg rocked the world of dirtbike racing with their unconventional (some say “quirky”) engineering, which, backed by the KTM production power, hit the enduro market with unsurpassed success and a surprising lack of complications. Click here for Cycle World’s April review of the FE450e.
If you’ve been following us on twitter, you’ll see we passed along Hilderbrand’s (MotorcycleUSA) review of Husaberg’s 2010 Line Up, complete with an excellent ‘Berg video review of 3 new 2010 models. Husaberg’s singing a sweet tune with the FX, transforming the FE’s slight drawbacks into a Cross Country warhorse.
We aren’t a fickle crew and it isn’t easy to turn our heads. But. . . As sweet as the 450 is, the impending 2010 FX 450, rumored to be a dream machine, just might steal our hearts.
The Race Shop is anxiously awaiting Hilderbrand’s review of the 2010 FX 450, upon its August release. Luckily, we have the “Go Big Tour” on the TAT to keep us preoccupied for a bit. Follow us on twitter to get updates on this 4 week cross country ride.
