Dakar 2010: Stage 13

Ullevalseter had a fantastic day today winning the stage.  His first ever stage win in a Dakar rally puts him in second place overall with a four minute and 22 second lead over Contardo.  Rumors from the bivouac yesterday evening held that Despres was going to lend Pal Anders the "magic" Michelin mousse for today's stage and lead him into victory.  Truth or fiction, congratulations to Pal Anders Ullevalseter for his victory,and probable second overall Dakar finish.

The battle behind the top three rages with Helder Rodrigues, David Fretigne, and Alain Duclos all in a position to shine on the final stage tomorrow.
