Joakim Ljunggren's Heading to Vegas - AMA EnduroCross
Husaberg has announced that Joakim will head to Husaberg's NA headquarters to set up his race bike for the final event of the 2009 AMA EnduroCross series in Vegas. Joakim is fresh from the IEWC where he rode the FE 390, which he is exchanging for the FX 450 for the race in Vegas. Husaberg says he has switched bikes because he prefers the close ratio gearbox of the FX 450 in the technical EnduroCross terrain. We concur.
However, as I write this, Joakim is battling it out at the greatly feared and admired Novemberkasan in Sweden, riding 65 miles in rain and a lot of darkness and very cold weather. According to Husaberg, "when he finishes this race on Sunday morning around 2-3 am, he will have been on the bike for 7-8 hours of special tests and probably double the time in total, including road transport and service time........... he will definitely have no problem sleeping on the plane to the US after this torturous event."
